Osborne Clarke has advised Highland Europe on its investment in Farewill, a will-writing tech start-up.

Farewill has raised £20 million in a funding round by leading European growth capital firm, Highland Europe, a leading investor in expansion-stage companies demonstrating rapid growth and addressing large market opportunities.

Farewill is a UK start-up that provides a platform for people to write online wills, organise probate services (such as co-ordination of death duties and taxes on a person’s property) and order cremations. Farewill aims to use the money to help the company grow its business and realise its ambition to make it easier for people to plan for and deal with death.

The Osborne Clarke team that advised Highland Europe on the investment was led by Partner Robert Wood, Associate Josephine Healy and Senior Associate Robert Pook (all Corporate) and included Legal Director Clare Burman (Regulatory). Osborne Clarke regularly advises Highland Europe on its transactions.
