Awards success for Osborne Clarke's Thames Valley office

Greg Leyshon, Head of Osborne Clarke's Business Transaction Group, has won Lawyer of the Year at The Thames Valley Deal Awards. The award recognises Greg's prolific work advising on a large number of high profile complex deals.

In addition to Greg's win, the firm was also nominated for Law Firm of the Year. Partners Mike Freer and Mark Spinner also advised on the sale of Babble which was named Deal of the Year.

Commenting on his win Greg said: "I'm thrilled to receive this award and I am very grateful for the support of my clients and my colleagues. Adapting to working during a pandemic has been extremely tough, but it has also been rewarding to see how the market has remained resilient and how clients have continued to be active in testing circumstances."

The Thames Valley Deal Awards are held by The Business Magazine and highlights the work of the region’s leading dealmakers, corporate finance specialists, lawyers, accountants, banks and non-bank lenders. This year's winners were particularly commended for their outstanding achievements during a challenging period.

In addition to this latest win, there has also been further award nominations for Osborne Clarke at Insider's Thames Valley Dealmakers Awards where the team has been shortlisted for Law firm of the Year and Greg has been nominated for Lawyer of the Year. The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Wednesday 8 December.
