Joanna is a lawyer with nearly 20 years’ experience in French, European and international environmental law.
She advises on the full spectrum of regulatory issues relating to industrial installations, contaminated land, protected species, waste, chemicals and climate change, and acts for French and international clients both in an advisory capacity and in litigation before the administrative, civil and criminal courts.
She primarily supports clients in the healthcare, real estate, agri-food and technology sectors in structuring and de-risking their operations, in particular mergers and acquisitions and real estate transactions. Joanna is involved at every stage of these deals — environmental due diligence, negotiation of environmental and liability warranties, regulatory compliance and risk management — bringing a holistic, tailored approach that integrates sustainability and circular economy considerations.
Her deep understanding of highly regulated environments — in particular imported deforestation (EUDR), the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), greenwashing practices and environmental claims, and PFAS regulations — enables her to anticipate regulatory change and design pragmatic, forward-looking solutions for her clients.
Joanna also advises on non-financial reporting and broader sustainability communication strategies, combining legal rigour with strategic insight to help clients manage risk, strengthen their market positioning and meet the challenges of the ecological transition.
