For 15 years Dan was a practising corporate lawyer advising on M&A and corporate finance transactions, in the UK and internationally. He had a particular focus on the Energy sector. He is now leading our Service Innovation programme, which is helping clients explore exactly how they would like legal services to be delivered to maximise the value to their businesses.
The programme has two key goals, both of which are driven by engaging with clients. First, to make sure we’re responding to client demands for greater value, efficiency & certainty from their lawyers, whilst maintaining the highest quality. Secondly in helping us bring innovative ideas to the delivery of our current, and new, services.
By talking to clients, using collaborative technology, and developing legal project management tools, we believe that we can continue to improve the value, efficiency and predictability of our services.
The programme is already working with a number of clients to design and implement new delivery and technology tools, and also help clients’ own process improvements.
Dan also assists in the management and development of our Energy & Utilities sector across our jurisdictions. He has hosted and spoken at Energy and Cleantech events in the UK and elsewhere in Europe.
Dan leads our Waste & Bioenergy team, which focusses on the post-PFI opportunities for treatment and generation infrastructure development across the waste sector. The team act particularly in relation to anaerobic digestion (AD), biomass (waste & virgin wood), and Energy from Waste (pure combustion and advanced thermal treatments).
