Christoph Seidler advises companies in strategic employment law questions. He focuses on the planning and implementation of employment-related restructurings and on advising on works council and union matters. Christoph further has special expertise with complex employment law litigation, as well as with advising on managing directors’ and executives’ matters.

In union and works council matters, Christoph Seidler advises on strategic and legal questions related to the scope of co-determination, and is involved in negotiations with employee representatives. He drafts collective agreements, such as restructuring collective bargaining agreements and works council agreements (e.g. on mobile working or IT systems). In case of a dispute, Christoph negotiates in conciliation boards or pleads in labor court proceedings.

Further, companies of all sizes trust Christoph with his expertise in individual employment law matters. In particular, he advises on hirings of or disputes with managing directors and executives, as well as on the implementation and revision of employee benefits, such as bonus or (mostly virtual) employee stock option programs.

In joint projects with other practice groups, Christoph is familiar with employment law matters related to M&A transactions and corporate law restructurings – with a focus on questions related to asset deals / transfers of undertakings and their impact on employee representation.

Christoph’s expertise has been documented in the following awards:

  • Annual recognition as one of ten “Employment Law Rising Stars” in Germany since 2020 (JUVE Handbook)
  • Annual listing as frequently recommended attorney since 2020 (JUVE Handbook)

Helping you succeed in tomorrow's world

My priority as an attorney is to understand our clients’ interest and to deliver a feasible solution. Answering the specifically raised legal question only marks the first step of my advice. For me it is much more important to consider the potential outcome of the case at hand, and to either solve our clients’ issues as soon as possible or to not even let an issue appear.

Good experience with legal knowledge and competence.
