UK Knowledge Collection | Unfair commercial practices and advertising, and pension reforms
Published on 16th May 2025
Welcome to this week's Knowledge Collection

Advertising regulators CAP and BCAP have published the outcome of their consultation on amendments to the advertising codes so that they align with the unfair commercial practices provisions in the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024, which came into force on 6 April. Our latest marketinglaw update looks at what has changed, as well as covering other regulatory news and rulings.
And while the UK government and 17 large workplace pensions providers have announced an accord to increase investments into private markets, intended in part to boost infrastructure and clean energy projects, trust-based and local government pension scheme authorities are looking ahead to the outcome of the government's phase one report on its pensions review. Our webinar next month looks at the status of proposals for pensions reform.
