PSC register implementation delayed

Published on 25th Aug 2015

The Government published a revised timetable for implementation of the people with significant control (‘PSC register’) on 25 August 2015.

Companies will need to keep a PSC register from April 2016, in preparation for the need to file this information at Companies House from 30 June 2016. This is a delay from the previously published dates of January 2016 and April 2016 respectively.

The Government has not yet disclosed whether the delay will impact on the publication of statutory guidance on the “significant control” test – expected in October 2015 – or the outcome of the latest consultation.
