Osborne Clarke advises Pharos Controls on sale to ETC

Published on 10th February 2026

International legal practice Osborne Clarke has advised the shareholders of Pharos Controls Ltd (Pharos) and SixEye Ltd (SixEye), on the sale of SixEye and Pharos, together with its subsidiary Pharos Architectural Controls Limited, to Electronic Theatre Controls, Inc (ETC), the global leader in lighting and rigging technology.

Pharos is a UK based developer and manufacturer of dynamic lighting control systems used in architectural, themed entertainment, and large-scale visual installations, and SixEye provides unified remote management portal services for systems integrators.

This transaction builds on more than two decades of collaboration between Pharos and ETC. Over their 20-year relationship, Pharos' innovation, reliability, and customer-first approach has played a central role in the development of ETC's architectural product line.

"We were delighted to act for this excellent team on the transaction and look forward to seeing how this business thrives as part of the ETC group."

David Ferris, Partner, Corporate

“Osborne Clarke has advised Pharos throughout its entire 20 year lifecycle, and was the natural choice to advise the founders on the sale. The firm's deep institutional knowledge of Pharos across multiple service lines, alongside their core M&A expertise, played an essential part in successful delivery of the deal. We are delighted that Pharos has found a new home with ETC, its longstanding customer, and we are grateful to Osborne Clarke for working tirelessly on our behalf to deliver a successful outcome.”
