Andrea Mezzetti is a partner in Osborne Clarke’s Technology, Media and Telecommunications practice, based in Milan.  

Andrea is a key member of Osborne Clarke’s AI & Digitalisation team, focusing on information technology, electronic communications and digital services. He advises leading Italian and international operators and online platforms on regulatory aspects of new technologies and strategic contracts for the launch of new services, with extensive experience in Artificial Intelligence, cybersecurity and platform regulation.

Andrea specialises in regulatory and contractual issues in the IT and telecoms sectors, including electronic communications services, digital services and AI‑driven solutions. He supports major players and online platforms throughout the lifecycle of new services, from project conception to implementation. His expertise includes Digital Services Act compliance, transparency and accountability requirements, advertising regulation, accessibility rules, website terms and conditions, and the design and review of booking paths and purchase journeys.  

Andrea advises Italian and international operators in the electronic communications and information technology sectors, including some of the world’s leading Big Tech companies. He also acts for Italian and foreign corporates and innovative start‑ups, supporting legal, commercial and product teams on technology driven projects and strategic contracts.

Andrea helps clients understand how complex rules apply to their services, then translates them into workable contractual frameworks, governance structures and product requirements. His support typically spans the full project lifecycle, from early concept and risk assessment through to negotiation, implementation and ongoing compliance. Clients value his ability to link regulatory detail with commercial objectives and to anticipate how new technologies and platform features will be scrutinised by regulators and users.

Recognised as an expert in technology and telecoms law, Andrea is frequently invited to participate in technical round tables organised by independent and ministerial authorities. He is an active member of several industry associations and regularly contributes to policy and regulatory discussions on digital services, AI and platform regulation. He also lectures on technology law at leading Italian universities.
