Amélie Sonkes is an associate in Osborne Clarke’s arbitration team, advising clients on international arbitration and cross-border disputes.
She works with French and international clients, particularly in the aerospace sector, on ad hoc and institutional arbitration proceedings, as well as post-arbitration matters such as annulment and enforcement of awards in France and abroad. She also represents clients before French courts, with a focus on commercial disputes and industrial risk disputes.
Before joining Osborne Clarke in October 2025, Amélie practiced at a Paris law firm specializing in international arbitration and international litigation. She also gained six-month of in-house experience in the legal department of an aerospace manufacturer, providing her with a practical understanding of the sector’s operational and contractual issues. In addition, she has served as secretary to arbitral tribunals in complex cases, including disputes involving States or state-owned entities.
Amélie was admitted to the Paris Bar in May 2023. She holds a Master’s degree in Arbitration and International Business Law from Paris-Saclay University, where she participated in the Moot Madrid and the CMAP International Mediation Competition. She also holds the Titulo de Abogado, which allows her to practice law in Colombia, following a year of study at Universidad del Rosario in Bogota.
