Supporting Impact Shares Foundation
Osborne Clarke Germany has partnered with The Impact Shares Foundation (Stiftung Wirkungsanteil), supporting the foundation with pro bono legal advice during its set-up and founding stage.
Integrating social responsibility
The Impact Shares Foundation aims to enable start-ups to integrate social responsibility into their ventures at an early stage. The start-ups transfer 1% of their shares to the foundation, which, similar to an employee share ownership, does not receive any voting or other shareholder rights. If the start-up is successful and goes public or is sold, the foundation invests the proceeds of its share in social and charitable projects, in close cooperation with the start-ups founder(s).
