Matthijs is an Associate in our Financial Regulatory team and is based in the Amsterdam office.

He specialises in the regulations on payments and e-money (PSD2/2EMD), investment funds (AIFMD/UCITS) investment firms (MiFID2/MiFIR) and insurance agreements.

Matthijs graduated in Corporate Law at the University of Leiden. Before he joined Osborne Clarke in April 2018, he worked for the Dutch Financial Services Complaints Tribunal (Kifid) as a legal secretary and wrote various articles (in Dutch) regarding the interpretation of insurance agreements.
