Osborne Clarke has advised Berlin-based start-up Kolonne Null, the leading provider of non-alcoholic premium wines and sparkling wines in the DACH region, on the successful closing of a Series A financing round with Geschwister Oetker Beteiligungen KG.

Rooted in the art of winemaking, Kolonne Null Weinlabor works with family wineries across Europe. Their common goal is to capture the characteristic features of each region, grape variety and vintage with their wines and to tell a unique story with every bottle. Since its foundation in 2018, Kolonne Null has established itself as a pioneer and category leader in the field of non-alcoholic wines. The range includes with rosé, Riesling, Verdejo and two red wine cuvées, five still wines and two sparkling wines.

The Berlin start-up has now reached a milestone in its young company history with the successful completion of its Series A. Geschwister Oetker Beteiligungen KG has joined as a new investor with a minority stake. Kolonne Null intends to use the investment to drive forward its existing strategy and continue to invest innovatively in vertical integration and growth and to tap into new markets.

“We are delighted to have been able to provide legal support for this fantastic development for several years now,” says Nicolas Gabrysch, Partner at Osborne Clarke.

The Osborne Clarke team advising Kolonne Null consisted of Nicolas Gabrysch (lead) and Benedikt Hülsmann (both Corporate / VC).
