International legal practice Osborne Clarke has advised Breathe Battery Technologies Limited ("Breathe") on its US$10 million Series A funding round led by Lowercarbon Capital with participation from Speedinvest.

Breathe, a spin-out from Imperial College, develops physics-based battery management software to increase charge speed and cycle life for consumer electronics devices and electric vehicles. The company aims to deliver adaptive charging to tackle the limitations of traditional battery control in addressing the demand for durability and performance.

The Osborne Clarke team has advised Breathe since its spin-out and through its seed funding round. Osborne Clarke's team was led by venture and growth capital partner Justin Starling and included senior associate Magnus Williams.
