Congratulations to Julia Kaufmann who has been named in the second edition of Women in Data by the world's leading media brand focused on all things to do with the business of data – Global Data Review (GDR).

Women in Data spotlights women at the cutting edge of legislation, regulation and technology.  GDR has featured 46 participants from 23 countries, including 37 lawyers, five regulators and four senior in-house privacy leaders.  Julia is one of only three women named in Germany.

The 46 profiles are a snapshot of the data field in 2022, as well as a reflection on its evolution over the previous decade or so, over a time of considerable upheaval – from the rise of big data, the introduction of the GDPR and other privacy legislation, to the covid-19 pandemic and beyond.

The candidates were selected through a combination of external and internal nominations, as well as GDR’s own research.  GDR was interested in a combination of factors, including traditional metrics such as significant cases and market standing, and also candidates’ wider contributions to the field.

Julia advise numerous multi-national companies with the establishment and implementation of GDPR and global data protection compliance programs.  She is currently focusing on international data transfers and engagement of global service providers as well as with audits and investigations led by data protection authorities.  She also assists companies with new legal requirements stemming from EU law relating to digital services and digital content.

Please note that GDR requires a subscriber log in.
