Description

"Osborne Clarke's team is first class. They are highly responsive and proactive. Their advice can be trusted to be technically correct but also commercially relevant." - Legal 500

We are looking for a Senior Associate, with experience of working on property development matters (which should include rights to light experience), to join our highly regarded Property Disputes team in London. This is a great opportunity to join a team which is seeing significant growth in work and a chance to build relationships with some fantastic clients, whilst working in a collaborative team environment. You will be joining a successful firm with a collegiate and supportive culture, which makes it a rewarding place to work.

The practice

Our specialist Property Disputes lawyers excel in helping clients resolve all kinds of property disputes and issues for a range of clients, which include some of the largest institutional landlords in the country; household name tenant occupiers; international commercial developers; major PLC residential developers; renewable energy investors and student accommodation providers. Their workload covers all aspects of landlord and tenant and real property law. The team handles cases at all levels of the Court system, as well as before Tribunals and arbitration panels. The practice also provides advice on risk mitigation and management in the context of potential disputes and property related regulation.

We have a premier client base and support these clients on a range of market leading cases. Clients include British Land, Barratt Homes, Greystar, M&G, Foresight, Taylor Wimpey, GLP and, more generally, we are a "go to" firm for many leading developers, given our niche expertise in this area.

The team

Led by Leona Briggs who is rated in both Chambers and Partners and Legal 500, the team spans all three of our offices; our team is comprised of 4 Partners, 2 Legal Directors, 9 Associate Directors, 9 Senior Associates, 1 Legal Manager, 7 Associates, 1 Chartered Legal Executive, 9 Paralegals, 3 Trainees and 3 Solicitor Apprentices.

This role will be supporting Gary Lawrenson and Carl Roche, the partners in the London team.

Technical skills and experience

Due to the technical nature of the practice, we are looking for candidates who have worked within a recognised and respected Property Litigation team and have been exposed to a varied caseload. You will have strong drafting skills and show an enthusiasm for getting to know a client's sector as well as the relevant law.

As a guide, due to the nature of the work and the structure of the team, we are looking to appoint a Senior Associate in this area, although we will consider candidates with more or less experience.

Your career development

Like all our lawyers, you will benefit from our multi-award winning career development programme. At each stage of your career this provides you with:

• clear expectations of your role and what it takes to progress;
• high quality clients and work, with early responsibility and client exposure;
• thorough assessment and individual feedback from a range of experienced colleagues;
• robust technical training with early skills based development, increasingly tailored to you; and
• reward for your contribution, progression and potential, rather than PQE or tenure.

Salary and benefits

We offer competitive salaries and generous benefits.
