Rob is a Partner in our corporate practice and advises investors, management teams and companies on all aspects of the private equity market, focusing on venture and growth capital transactions, private equity buyouts, buy-and-build projects and exits.

He has particular expertise in advising on complex transactions involving investor syndicates.

Much of Rob’s work focuses on the Tech, Media and Comms sector, particularly on high-growth companies trying to bring the latest technology to market.

Rob joined Osborne Clarke in 2000 and has been a Partner since 2010. He is currently the head of our Thames Valley Office and was named "Lawyer of the Year" at the 2018 Thames Valley Deal Awards.

One PLM

Advised Cutting Edge Solutions (now "One PLM") on an equity investment from the Business Growth Fund and simultaneous acquisition of / merger with Magenta PLM.

GTK

Advised GTK and its shareholders on the £14.3m sale of GTK to Volex plc.

Google Ventures

Advised Google Ventures on its series C funding into Kobalt Music. This was Google Ventures’ first investment from its new European fund.

Tantalum

Advised connected car company, Tantalum, on its acquisition of Springworks and subsequent sale of Tracker to CalAmp Inc.

Prodigy Finance

Advised Prodigy on its $40m series C equity round, led by Balderton Capital.
