Alex Makinson

Alex is a Senior Knowledge Lawyer at OC.  

Alex joined OC in 2020, initially in a fee earning capacity and, prior to January 2026, acted on a full range of transactional and advisory mandates in the Tax team, with a particular focus on The Built Environment sector.  Alex's expertise covers all areas of Real Estate Tax, particularly land development, agreements between landlords and tenants and indirect disposals and acquisitions of real estate assets held in corporate structures.  Alex is also experienced in the Energy & Utilities sector and corporate reorganisations more generally.

Alex is now focused on utilising his practical experience to enhance the knowledge of the Tax team, providing training and development and assisting with technical tax issues.
