We advised throughout the development of the Finzels Reach project (£250m), a strategically significant mixed use regeneration project for Bristol including a new hotel forward-funded by AXA. The complex site involved listed spaces and a restrictive harbour-side location. Advised on establishing the fund, development and lease agreements, construction, procurement, planning, rights to light, development financing, and public realm key infrastructure.
Advised on the acquisition of various logistics warehouse assets for their joint venture with KKR, and subsequent debt financing with Blackstone for £165m.
Advised on their successful outline planning application for a strategic 1 million sq ft warehouse development alongside the M4, despite various complexities including labour agreements relating to the construction and ongoing operation of the site, objections relating to a footpath diversion order, S106 negotiations and planning conditions relating to the deliverability of the scheme.
Advised on the "Smartseille" project which is Marseille's mixed-use 'standard setting' neighbourhood with 2.7 hectares with c.58,000 homes plus office space and amenities. We advised on their technology driven project which relies on IoT to manage and optimise efficiencies across energy consumption, transportation and parking and to improve social interaction and services (including e-concierge).
We advised on a number of mixed-use regeneration projects in Britain and Ireland including its development of substantial office space in Slough (the first building in the £450 million Heart of Slough Development); phase 2 (180 mid-market resi units) of a large mixed-use regeneration project in North West London; and a superstore in South Woodham Ferrers.
