Osborne Clarke Netherlands has advised merxU B.V. on their Series A investment round. With the second closing of the Series A round having occurred in December 2021, merxU now stands to accelerate its growth strategy in Europe.

MerxU is a pan-European B2B marketplace serving small- and medium-sized enterprises looking to buy wholesale goods online. With over two million products for sale, the merXu platform serves over fifteen thousand of companies across Central and Eastern Europe, currently operating in Czechia, Estonia, Hungary, Lithuania, Poland, Romania and Slovakia, with plans to expand to Germany and other countries in the coming months. 

The proceeds of the Series A investment round will go towards the company’s next phase of growth. MerxU is currently planning to enter the market in new European countries and additionally aims to integrate B2B payments functionality within its platform and strengthen its team.
