In addition to the firm’s close working relationship with BTG Legal in India and the association with Koh Vass & Co in Hong Kong, the association
with OC Queen Street forms a key part of Osborne Clarke’s expansion plans in the Asia Pacific region.

Chia Ling Koh, the first Partner to join OC Queen Street, is a specialist in IT, Data, and IP practice areas and regularly advises large telecommunications companies, global IT business, internet search engines, and major airlines in Singapore and the surrounding regions. He was previously a partner at Bird & Bird in Singapore.

Chia Ling will initially be supported by a team of specialists in IT, Data, and IP law and will be joined later this year by additional Partners, further legal recruits, and business services support.

Simon Beswick, International CEO at Osborne Clarke, commented: “For our international clients Singapore continues to be an important gateway for Asia and a powerhouse in its own right. The association with OC Queen Street presents an exciting opportunity for us to support existing clients and their regional headquarters in Singapore, to win new sector clients and to assist Asian clients with their US and European legal needs.”

“Chia Ling and the rest of the team due to join OC Queen Street bring a mix of sector understanding, legal expertise, commerciality, and local market knowledge, which is a great fit for our wider business needs. All at OC look forward to working with them to support our client needs and ensure the association is a success.”

Chia Ling Koh, Partner OC Queen Street, commented: “Digital Business and Fintech are dynamic sectors in Singapore with a healthy opportunity pipeline.  The association with Osborne Clarke will allow OC Queen Street to leverage our sector experience and local insight to benefit our respective clients.”
