International legal practice Osborne Clarke has advised Jonny Fresh on the acquisition of Zipjet’s German business. Jonny Fresh financed the acquisition with funds from a financing round that was completed three months ago; the parties have agreed not to disclose the investment amount.
Jonny Fresh is a Berlin-based laundry delivery service. It offers free laundry pick-up and delivery for private customers at home or at the office. They exclusively work with partner companies who are looking to fully utilize their capacities by adding on more deliveries. Apart from mediating the commissions the start-up also has its own software to optimize the routes to the end customer.
With this acquisition, Jonny Fresh gains access to new customers in the German-speaking market and intends to achieve a greater efficiency in logistics. Through a denser customer network, routes can be optimised and costs can be saved.
An Osborne Clarke team led by Coporate and VC Counsel Till-Manuel Saur advised Jonny Fresh on the investment. The team also included Nicolas Gabrysch (Corporate, VC) and Dr Sebastian Hack (Antitrust Law).
