Osborne Clarke has advised the inpro Innovationsgesellschaft für fortgeschrittene Produktionssysteme in der Fahrzeugindustrie mbH on an investment by bmp Ventures AG (bmp Ventures). IBG Risikokapitalfonds III (IBG), managed by bmp Ventures, is investing EUR 1.2 million in COMAN Software GmbH, a spin-off of inpro.

The company has developed unique project and appointment scheduling software, which has already been put to use by big-name vehicle manufacturers and plant constructors worldwide. Based on the requirements of the inpro Group partners, the software was initially developed to implement projects in the field of plant construction. It has since evolved into a marketable visual project and appointment scheduling software tool and established itself as a successful solution.

The inpro Innovationsgesellschaft für fortgeschrittene Produktionssysteme in der Fahrzeugindustrie mbH is a joint venture of Daimler, SABIC, Siemens, thyssenkrupp and Volkswagen. inpro develops innovative technologies and software solutions for production and transfers them to industrial applications. inpro has developed the software COMAN in close cooperation with the inpro partners in recent years.

An Osborne Clarke team led by Nicolas Gabrysch (corporate) has advised inpro on the investment. The team included Konstantin Ewald, Felix Hilgert, Adrian Schneider (all IT), Joachim Breithaupt, Dr Ulrike Bär (tax law), Anne Gebel and Martin Würthner (both insolvency law).
