Osborne Clarke in the Netherlands advised Angelo Gordon and APF International on the refinancing of the Amerika and Highrise part of the Mediahuis complex. The financing was arranged by Edmond de Rothschild REIM and Infinity Real Estate. Oxane Partners Limited was involved as agent.

The entire Mediahuis complex was acquired by Angelo Gordon and APF International in 2020. The Mediahuis property is located in Amsterdam, at a central point in Sloterdijk, called 'District West'. The proceeds of the loan will be used for the refinancing of the acquisition costs and the redevelopment of the Amerika and Highrise part of the Mediahuis complex. The redevelopment starts in cooperation with existing and new tenants. District West will soon offer space for over 100,000 square meters of offices and a mix of other facilities. The existing office buildings will be redeveloped with an eye to the future. Special attention will be given to architecture, sustainability and circularity.

The Osborne Clarke team was led by Head of Banking and Finance Axel van der Staak (Banking & Finance) and further consisted of Partner Cars-Jan van Gool (civil-law notary) and Junior Associate Marlinde Klein Ganseij (Banking & Finance).

Cushman and Wakefield's Maud Visschedijk and Hessel Diekerhoff provided debt advisory advice to the borrower.
