Gaetano Dimita appointed as external counsel to Osborne Clarke.

International legal practice Osborne Clarke has appointed Gaetano Dimitia, an expert in video games and interactive entertainment law, as external counsel to its Italian tech media and comms team.

Gaetano is one of a very limited number of academics wholly dedicated to the dynamics and legal issues that affect the interactive entertainment industry and its social and regulatory aspects.

Gaetano teaches Interactive Entertainment Law and Intellectual Property Law at the Centre for Commercial Law Studies (CCLS), Queen Mary University of London. He is also a director of the University’s LLM in Intellectual Property Law and a member of the Intellectual Property Research Institute.

He is also an Executive Committee Member of the British Literary and Artistic Copyright Association and the British Copyright Council – Copyright and Technology Working Group. As well as the editor-in-chief of the Interactive Entertainment Law Review, and the organiser of the ‘More Than Just a Game’ conference held annually in a number of European cities.

Managing Partner Riccardo Roversi commented:

“The entry of Gaetano, one of a select few academics specialising in videogames and interactive entertainment, bolsters our tech media and comms team. The internationally recognised team is led by Andrea Rizzi and videogames and interactive entertainment is a key priority asset class within our broader sector.”
