Axel van der Staak joins Osborne Clarke in the Netherlands

Axel joins as Head of the Banking and Finance team

International legal practice Osborne Clarke expands its Banking and Finance team in Amsterdam with the arrival of Axel van der Staak.

Axel has over ten years' experience in the financial services sector having previously worked at Freshfields, in-house at ABN AMRO and as an independent legal consultant. Axel works on all types of credit related products, including general corporate financings, leveraged buy outs, real estate transactions, other asset backed financings (including shipping and borrowing base financings), structured financings (including securitisations) and restructurings and work outs.

A well-known name in the Dutch financing market, Axel has excellent client relationship skills which he will use to boost the growing practice of Osborne Clarke's Banking and Finance team. Axel will closely work with the other practice groups in the Netherlands (including the corporate and real estate teams) to allow Osborne Clarke to offer clients full service finance support on their deals.
