Russell Van Praagh

Russell joined Osborne Clarke in November 2014 as a partner in the business transactions group of the Firm.  He focuses on private equity, growth and venture transactions, acting for institutions, management teams and corporates.

Russell has over 20 years experience in the private equity sector.  His clients range from private equity institutions to venture funds, family offices and high net worth individuals. They include Ambienta, Alcuin, Canter, HIG, Highland Capital, Maven, Oakley Capital and Union Park Capital.

His recent experience includes acting for Cygnet Healthcare in relation to its acquisition of the Adult Services Division of the Cambian group plc, the disposal by Canter Private Equity of Acoura Holdings Limited, the sale of Group IMD by Vitruvian to Inflexion, the sale of the Brookwood partnership to an MML backed investee company, the acquisition by an Ambienta backed investee company of Vaclensa, the acquisition by a Union Park Capital investee company of CHOPIN Technologies, the acquisition by Isfield and Alcuin of the ubiquitous Groucho Club and advising significant family office clients in respect of the sale by certain family offices of Consolidated Financial Holdings A/S.
