Nick is a partner in our London real estate group, with over 20 years' experience advising a range of major clients in the development, investment and financing of various asset classes.

Nick spends much of his time advising both major banks and alternative lending institutions on real estate finance matters. He specialises in high-value portfolio transactions, providing both investment and development finance across a diverse range of asset classes such as logistics, retail, hotels, high-end residential, student accommodation and senior living. Since 2019, Nick has been the UK Head of Real Estate Finance.

Nick remains true to his real estate roots though and therefore, in addition to his property finance work, he represents a number of clients from across the property industry. These include investors, developers and hotels, both from the U.K. and overseas. He has particular experience in the management and disposal of retail portfolios.

Nick has been described in Legal 500 as having "excellent knowledge and a strong commercial approach", and Chambers said clients think Nick is "proactive and works really hard to get the deal done".

Helping you succeed in tomorrow's world

Heading up our UK Real Estate Finance Team gives me a great oversight of the changing nature of the real estate industry. I'm taking a keen interest in the latest trends in Urban Dynamics, particularly in the future of living, where Osborne Clarke's real estate sector team are leading the way in many exciting new developments.

Nick Padget is not just an experienced and capable real estate finance lawyer, he takes time to understand the client’s objective and always delivers a personal and bespoke outcome for the client, ensuring that complexity is simplified and all options are well considered and advised on."
