

Michael Lewis is a Partner in the financial services team in London. He focuses on UK and EU financial services law and regulation.
Michael provides specialist advice to banks, investment managers, stock brokers, platforms and SIPP operators. He has particular experience of advising clients on perimeter issues, regulatory capital, client assets, the implementation of EU legislation (the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive and the Capital Requirements Directive) and the regulatory aspects of acquisitions and disposals in the financial sector.
Michael was seconded to HM Treasury as a policy adviser to Ministers on the Regulated Activities Order and other statutory instruments under the Financial Services and Markets Act. He has also been involved in a number of sector committees commenting on draft EU Directives in the financial services sector.
