Michael Kruger

Michael is a project finance lawyer with a particular focus on the renewable energy sector.
Michael has more than a decade's experience acting for both funders and sponsors on the financing and structuring of solar (both rooftop and ground-mounted), onshore and offshore wind, hydro, biomass and anaerobic digestion projects. Michael's experience covers both construction financings, secondary refinancings, fund-level and holdco financings. More recently, he has been increasingly involved in the development, financing and structuring of e-mobility projects and battery storage projects.
I have a keen interest in decarbonisation. In recent times, this has started to mean more than just building a renewable power plant and now encompasses an ever-increasing range of transformational products, such as virtual power plants, microgrids, e-mobility projects, and the innovative funding structures required to advance these projects. I look forward to working with clients and stakeholders as this fast-changing sector continues to develop.
