Marleen is an Associate in the Commercial team and is based in the Amsterdam office.

She specialises in data protection and privacy and advises clients in the Tech, Media and Comms sector on a broad range of issues, including e-commerce and consumer protection, intellectual property and licensing, technology and general commercial contracting.

Marleen graduated in Information Law at the University of Amsterdam and in Corporate Law at the University of Leiden. Furthermore, she studied at the University of Utrecht and at the University of Pretoria, South Africa.

Before joining Osborne Clarke in 2016, she worked for a Dutch law firm as an intern and for a law incubator specialising in Information Law.

Marleen has registered the following principal (and secondary) legal practice areas in the Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister):
- IT Law
- Data Protection and Privacy Law

Based on this registration, she is required to obtain ten training credits per calendar year in each registered principal legal practice area in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.
