Laura joined the Osborne Clarke incentives team in June 2020 from another major UK legal practice, where she had been head of the incentives practice. Laura specialises in employee incentives and executive remuneration arrangements.
Laura qualified in 2003 and has many years' experience providing advice to a range of clients including private, FTSE and AIM-listed companies, management teams and employees.
She advises on all aspects of employee share incentives including advising on the design, tax implications (for both employers and employees), implementation and operation of enterprise management incentive options, Schedule 4 CSOPs, non-tax advantaged option schemes, long-term incentive plans, all-employee share schemes and growth share structures.
Laura's practice also includes advising on the tax implications of management equity incentives in the context of private-equity backed transactions.
In addition, she advises on the company law and corporate governance considerations relevant to employee share incentives and on the taxation of employees and directors, including PAYE and National Insurance contributions.
Laura is an active member of the Share Plan Lawyers Group.
