As a founding member of Osborne Clarke’s Hong Kong office, Jay’s practice focuses on technology-related corporate and commercial matters. He has advised on equity and debt financing rounds, investments, mergers & acquisitions, payment and digital currency regulations, fund formation, and blockchain issues for a range of clients, including innovative fast-growing businesses, venture capital funds, and Fortune 500 companies.
Jay also advises on the range of common issues for both emerging and established companies in the technology sector, such as corporate structuring, licensing, employment, as well as various commercial arrangements and regulatory matters.
Prior to his Juris Doctor degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Jay obtained his Bachelor’s degree (with honours) from the University of Toronto. He also holds a double Master’s degree from the Munk School of Global Affairs at the University of Toronto.
