Henry advises trustees and employers on all aspects of pensions law and practice, and has done so since joining Osborne Clarke's pensions team, following qualification, in 2015. Henry also specialises in matters involving the Pension Protection Fund (PPF).

Henry has experience advising trustee clients on day to day advisory work as well as significant projects such as consolidations of scheme rules, rectifications, scheme wind-ups and bulk annuity insurance transactions (e.g. buy-ins and buy-outs).

Henry also regularly advises employers on their pension schemes whether as a result of corporate transactions, re-organisations or in relation to their compliance with automatic enrolment obligations (including rectifying non-compliance).

Henry has particular expertise in relation to the PPF, where he completed a six month secondment in 2020. He advises trustees and the PPF in relation to schemes during their PPF assessment period and more generally in relation to matters concerning the PPF.

Helping you succeed in tomorrow's world

Pension scheme trustees are under increasing pressures to engage with the risks and opportunities presented by decarbonisation, as trustees are significant asset holders in the UK economy. I have a keen interest in helping trustees understand the developing legal requirements in this area, and how those requirements interact with their wider trustee duties.
