Griffin O'Rourke

Griffin is a Senior Associate in Osborne Clarke's Projects team based in London, specialising in the development, financing, corporate venturing and regulatory arrangements for energy and infrastructure projects.
Griffin has acted for developers and investors on a wide range of conventional and renewable utilities projects including solar and wind farms, solar rooftop installations, biomass and gas-fired CHP, energy from waste (EfW) facilities, district heat networks, biogas production and distribution facilities and battery storage. He has also acted on high power consumption projects such as data centres and residential / commercial developments. A number of these projects have involved public procurement aspects, and engagement with local / national government bodies.
Griffin manages Osborne Clarke's Energy Regulatory Advisory sub-sector and regularly advises clients on electricity and gas market regulation, the Heat Trust consumer protection scheme, and the various subsidy schemes available to support the growth of low-carbon technologies in the UK.
Griffin advises a diverse range of clients including major property developers, energy suppliers and aggregators, investment funds, asset managers, global financial institutions, core infrastructure and social housing providers on projects in the UK and Europe.
Griffin is a member of the Association for Decentralised Energy (ADE), and sits on their Heat Network and Industrial CHP Forums and Heat Network Working Group.
