Gavin acts for funders, sponsors and borrowers on the financing and re-financing of energy and infrastructure projects on a project finance basis as well as on real estate finance, acquisition finance and corporate finance deals.
Most recently, Gavin has typically worked for institutional investors, national and international banks, and debt funds on a number of portfolio re-financings in asset classes including, among others, renewable energy and student accommodation.
Gavin’s experience includes a variety of renewable energy assets including solar (both rooftop and ground mounted), onshore wind and hydro, as well as projects with cross-jurisdictional elements.
Aside from legal work, Gavin is also co-chair of Osborne Clarke’s Pride (LGBT+ network). In this he seeks to champion diversity, inclusion and equality for all (but with an LGBT+ focus) both in the legal profession and in the wider business community. Gavin has worked with community groups, law firms and clients to help further their LGBT+ initiatives.
Gavin joined Osborne Clarke in January 2018 from Burges Salmon LLP where he trained and qualified in September 2016.
