David is a Consultant in our real estate practice and heads the residential development and landowner sector group. With more than thirty years’ experience advising developers, David has a deep knowledge and understanding of the residential development market, strategic land joint ventures and consortia arrangements.
He qualified in 1981 and has been focused on the real estate developers market throughout his career, enabling him to bring a wealth of experience to bear for his clients’ benefit. He also has an extensive network of contacts across the industry. David is also recognised as a leading expert in sports law, having represented many high-profile sports stars and squads, including the British Lions and the England Rugby Team. He is a member of the Academy of Urbanism, which is dedicated to improving the city environment throughout Europe, and is a trustee of The Park Local Opportunity Centre in Bristol, which provides adult education and business support services. He is a former director of Bristol Rugby Club. David was a Partner at the firm from 2007 to 2021, heading up the Bristol office for a period of time.
