Anne drafts and negotiates IT contracts, mainly complex international IT project contracts (IT outsourcing), and licensing agreements (including business terms and conditions). She also regularly advises on the IT/ IP / Data Protection side of Venture Capital deals.

Anne is particularly interested in the intersection of software and law. Additional to her law degree, she took several classes in computer science and programming and sometimes programs in her spare time, which helps her to easily understand the technical concepts behind matters she advises on.

Among matters Anne advised on so far have been

  • negotiating the ERP project agreements for a leading German Life Science / Biotech company,
  • Advising a globally active health care company on their existing ERP project agreement,
  • Advising a globally active medical products company on dealing with IT security incidents,
  • Advising a procurement software start-up on various legal issues in connection with their Series-B financing round (investment volume: 60 million USD), in particular compliance with open source license terms
  • Advising a venture capital fonds on their investment in an e-commerce software company.

Anne has been qualified as a lawyer since 2018. Before joining Osborne Clarke, she worked as a manager for a legal tech law firm and as a lawyer for a boutique law firm focused on growth capital and technology. Anne studied law in Jena and New Brunswick, Canada. During her legal training, Anne clerked at the Thuringian State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, as well as the Institute of Legal Informatics in Saarbrücken.
