Alex joined Osborne Clarke with a specialist skill set that further enhances its London and national Energy practice. He is an energy transactions lawyer with experience across a number of private practice energy-transaction-related disciplines (including construction, corporate, commercial and regulatory) as well as 4 years in-house in two of the energy industries most innovative enterprises.

Following an initial six year stint in private practice at Taylor Wessing, Alex has spent the last four years as in-house counsel, for a renewables developer and subsequently as General Counsel at an innovative energy technology start-up.

Alex approached Osborne Clarke for the opportunity to work with numerous exciting clients across different energy technologies. He had already instructed Osborne Clarke as a client but was equally attracted by its first rate reputation across the Energy & utilities sector.  Alex’s abilities help us to maintain and enhance this reputation.

Alex is now leveraging his technical and industry knowledge, working with funders, developers, investment managers and contractors across renewables, Capacity Market participators, energy supply companies and nuclear. Whether it is investments, buying or selling developments, development opportunities, companies or provision of goods and services, Alex has the legal capability together with the commercial and industry know-how to bring to the transaction.

Alex is also a regular at the Association of Decentralised Energy, a mentor to small businesses under the Virgin Mentor scheme and involved in Osborne Clarke’s smart cities initiative.
