Alessandra is a lawyer, passionate about her practice in the general commercial and IP field with a focus on the copyright, media and entertainment sector, including various operational and legal aspects of information technology and e-commerce, computer programs, videogames and data bases.

She acts for major brands, both Italian and foreign, advising on IP rights in the Tech, Media and Comms, Retail and Consumers sectors.

Alessandra has accrued experience in copyright with niche expertise in the areas of audio-visual works, publishing and music law, with focus on digitalization.

She joined Osborne Clarke in 2015 and brought to the firm her experience working in other firms as well as in-house where she dealt mostly with issues of software licensing and assisting in the negotiation and drafting of assignments of rights and licences and rights management.

Alessandra holds a Masters in intellectual property law (LL.M.) from the University of Washington, USA.

Advising Sony Music in a copyright law suit against Edizioni Musicali Acqua Azzurra and three other defendants, connected with alleged unlawful actions relating to the valuable catalogue of leading Italian singer-songwriter and composer, Lucio Battisti.

Advised on the assignment of IP rights deriving from a new song by Mina and mastered by PDU, to be used by TIM in its marketing campaigns including TIM’s advertising campaign during the 2021 edition of the most famous Italian music event, the “Festival della canzone Italiana di Sanremo”.

Advising the client, a company that commissions new operas and manages coproduction projects, on a range of new initiatives that have arisen through its online platform, including cross-border IP advice on its relations with performing arts companies, artists, composers and publishers.
