Aleksandra Szczęsna

Aleksandra is a PhD candidate at the University of Warsaw and a junior associate in the IP practice of Osborne Clarke. She is particularly passionate about the legal aspects of new technologies.
Aleksandra has experience in advising clients on projects related to IP and IT issues, personal data protection, FinTech and corporate law. She took part in several due diligence reviews as well as in the implementations of procedures ensuring compliance with applicable regulations in the organization.
Additionally, Aleksandra actively participates in the scientific project regarding the sustainable corporate governance, what already has led to a number of publications in the subject.
Intellectual property protection is crucial to fostering innovation. Otherwise, businesses would not benefit from their inventions and it would impair their involvement in research and development. Since IP is a valuable asset for businesses, its protection is becoming increasingly important and should be an essential part of their business strategies.
