Osborne Clarke Solution’s Data Transfer Manager is a tool designed to facilitate the implementation of any requirements resulting from the CJEU’s Schrems II decision within a company. It serves as a central project management platform tailored to meet the requirements established by the CJEU and the European Data Protection Board (“EDPB”) to ensure compliance with the GDPR regarding international data transfers outside of the European Union/European Economic Area (EU/EEA).
Main features
Collaboration across departments: usually, any input for a project around international data transfers has to be provided by different departments. The Data Transfer Manager is a collaborative tool which allows each department to enter their input independently, while at the same time providing the data protection team with a central overview and enabling them to steer the departments.
Central database: the departments can enter any information on their relevant data transfers into the tool as well as upload all relevant contractual documents and thus ensure a structured overview of all data transfers.
Integrated process management: the process defined and required by the EDPB for assessing third-country data transfers has already been integrated into the tool.
Dashboard: a central dashboard presents a comprehensive and easy-to-navigate overview of the whole project.
Legal Knowledge: the Data Transfer Manager‘s FAQ section offers answers to the most common questions that usually arise in the different departments when collaborating on a data transfer project.
