We offer an enhanced Maternity Leave package. We pay 26 weeks at full pay if you have at least one year’s continuous employment with us at the EWC and are still employed by us during that week.
We offer two week’s paternity leave at full pay if you have at least one year’s continuous employment with us at the EWC and are still employed by us during that week.
Shared Parental Leave
We offer an enhanced Shared Parental Leave (ShPL) package. In additional to statutory Shared Parental Leave pay, we offer up to 26 weeks full pay to employees who have at least one year’s continuous employment with us at the EWC and are still employed by us in the week before taking ShPL.
Family leave may be granted (up to one working week in each sickness year) for important/emergency family situations, e.g., the need to care for a dependant who is ill or in severe distress or if a spouse/partner has been bereaved. This leave will be counted within the Employee’s sickness entitlement, designated as “family leave”.
The Childcare Voucher scheme is a personal benefit which both parents can take advantage of. It works by converting taxable pay to tax-free childcare vouchers, saving you up to £1,196 per year depending on your tax bracket. Payments are taken from your pre-tax salary. The scheme is administered by Faircare and available to new entrants until September 2018, after which time anybody wishing to receive Childcare Vouchers will need to enrol in the government scheme via their new childcare website.
The firm seeks to support individuals during times of bereavement and compassionate leave is granted when an immediate family member dies (usually one working week).
