Please join us for the fourth webinar in our ‘Countdown to COP26’ series, run in partnership with our Scottish friends, Harper Macleod, this time focused on the theme of decarbonising transport.
The session will take place on Wednesday 22 September at 09:00 BST.
This webinar will provide a COP26 update since our last session in May before looking at the role of transport and mobility in moving towards Net Zero.
With the transport sector being the largest contributor to UK greenhouse gas emissions, responsible for 23% of total energy related CO2 emissions, and its emissions rising faster than those of any other sector, it is no surprise that it has been listed as a key theme for COP26.
In July 2021, the UK government released its plan to decarbonise the transport system including a highly ambitious plan to decarbonise road transport. It’s clear that to achieve our net zero targets a step change is needed, with individual businesses needing to take action to promote decarbonisation.
In this webinar we will take stock of the legal and regulatory landscape that businesses need to consider and provide practical examples of sustainable transport and mobility initiatives we are seeing on their route to Net Zero.
