Simon Hobday

Simon has 25 years' experience advising commercial companies, governments, regulators and energy and utility companies on energy projects, regulatory and commercial matters. His clients include infrastructure investors, heat businesses, the new breed of aggregators and providers of market access and heavy energy users, such as data centre providers. He leads our Renewables and Power Management E&U subsector team, our Energy Regulatory Advisory Group and is partner sponsor for our Decarbonisation – Tackling Climate Change stream.

In addition to his work on energy regulation and projects, he focusses on smart grids, power management and decentralised energy projects. His interest in this is driven by an interest in the decentralised future of energy and the role of technology and new business models in reaching net zero.
