Jo advises on all aspects of Real Estate, but her particular expertise is in respect of commercial development transactions and complex portfolio deals.

Having worked in the commercial development sector for over 25 years, Jo has a wealth of experience in running development projects from cradle to grave.  This includes commenting on the heads of terms, negotiating the acquisition contract or option, dealing with any lettings, funding the project and the eventual sale of the developed scheme.   Jo has worked for a key Osborne Clarke client, GLP (formerly Gazeley), for over 20 years and has been instrumental in the development of many schemes.  She is currently working on GLP's multi-storey logistics development in Docklands.

Jo also handles large and complex portfolio transactions, and these include various subsectors of the real estate market including logistics, retail and senior living.   Her clients include Morgan Stanley, Bank of America, Colony Capital, Ellandi and Redevco.

Helping you succeed in tomorrow's world

My involvement in the evolution of the logistics sector has led me to focus on decarbonisation.  The construction of large logistics warehouses and the operations that are carried out in those warehouses to deliver goods to  consumers in response to the boom in e-commerce have a huge carbon requirement.  My clients want to deliver on their ESG pledges to build carbon neutral warehouses that are capable of generating all of the power that the occupiers require, with additional power being exported to the Grid.  I am working on an exciting project with GLP to find a legal solution to the complex issue of installing solar panels on warehouse roofs of premises that will be let to tenants on FRI leases.

We sincerely appreciate all your assistance and counsel on this portfolio. Critical for us to have a partner like you on the ground to ensure we end up at the best possible place for our stakeholders (Managing Director of Colony Capital Inc)

Jo - great result – well done for a whole manner of reasons, thank you, great persistence – great site! (Bruce Topley, Managing Director of GLP)
