Cars-Jan is a Partner / civil-law notary (notaris) in the corporate M&A department of Osborne Clarke in Amsterdam and specialises in the various aspects of (notarial) corporate law, particularly in relation to (re)structuring, mergers and acquisitions, investment funds and private equity and other matters of company and corporate law for national and international clients.
Cars-Jan joined Osborne Clarke as per the 1st of July 2015. He became a Partner and civil-law notary in 2007.
His work includes among other things providing advices on (re)structuring, setting up legal entities as well as partnerships and the matters he deals with include corporate acquisitions and disposals, mergers and split-offs, security rights (pledge and mortgage), share issues and transfers, partnerships and establishing (employee) participation plans.
For various corporate clients, Cars-Jan also advises on transactions related to (commercial) real estate. He provides notarial services regarding the acquisition, transfer and finance of real estate portfolios and (commercial) properties.
