Learning & development

You won't get a bog-standard training contract at Osborne Clarke.

Seat programme

We want you to experience the broad range of work available at Osborne Clarke. As a trainee, you’ll complete four seats: corporate, litigation, either real estate or tax, plus one other. So you should take a particular look at those sections.

In each seat, a senior lawyer will supervise your day-to-day progress and give you regular feedback, so you know how you’re doing. They’re there to help you up your game. Every three months, you’ll have a formal progress review to help you track your development.

Read more about the seats available in our London, Bristol and Thames Valley locations here.

Training

As well as introducing you to the technology we use, we’ll give you practice-specific courses at the beginning of each seat. As you’d expect, you’ll also complete the Professional Skills Course as required by the Solicitors Regulation Authority.

Responsibility

Our trainees get lots. And they find that it's what differentiates their training contracts from others'. But don't take our word for it, read their profiles.
