There’s no shortage of funding in the real estate sector currently – the problem is a shortage of property and land. As a result, the sector is witnessing an increase in mixed-use development and innovative partnerships between all parties, particularly corporate occupiers and developers, and between investors and landowners. Then there’s the likely new breed of smaller investor encouraged by the government’s proposed tax-transparent UK Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs).

We help our clients in three key ways. Firstly, our knowledge of the real estate sector means we can spot opportunities and help our clients keep ahead of the pack. This knowledge comes from the number and size of transactions we handle for a wide range of clients from occupiers, investors, and developers to landowners, both in the UK and internationally. We also influence change (where possible) via our active membership of professional bodies such as the British Property Federation and RTPI.

Secondly, the breadth of our real estate practice enables us to provide a comprehensive ‘lifetime’ service to the firm's client base. We offer a full range of real estate services and, in addition, can advise on technical areas, such as tax, joint ventures and new investment vehicles, finance, litigation and environmental law issues.

Thirdly, whatever service we offer, they all share one thing in common; we provide commercial, pragmatic solutions to complex real estate problems. We thrive on the challenge of maximising opportunities for our clients to achieve their financial and commercial objectives, whilst – at the same time – identifying and managing the risks they face.
