The mature PFI PPP market is characterised on the one hand, by standardised project documentation and demanding bidding timetables used for established sectors and well-understood procurement models.

On the other hand, novel procurement models are still being developed and standard ones are evolving.  We adapt our legal advice to reflect the degree of novelty or standardisation, ensuring that bidders remain competitive without assuming unnecessary risk.  While there is more scope for creativity in developing procurement models, there is still the ability to enhance established procurement models through financial and supply chain structuring.

We are rated Number 1 by the Chambers Directory 2006 for our advice to private providers in healthcare projects and are rated by the independent directories for our PFI PPP expertise.

We advise sponsors, lenders and supply chain in the following sectors:

  •  Accommodation
  •  Defence
  •  Education
  •  Health
  •  Rail
  •  Renewable energy
  •  Technology
  •  Waste management
Examples of our recent experience include:
  • Advising a short-listed bidder on the South West PFI Hospital Project at Eniskillen, Northern Ireland
